Reading Notes: Week 2 Anthology

The Foolish, Timid RabbitJataka Tales by Ellen C. Babbitt.

This story resonated with me because I think we all are experiencing a similar story within the pandemic in the United States. There are so many false narratives being spread about Covid-19. From it is a tool used by the government to it being a "Chinese disease". There are so many silly rumors being spread by it. The story also especially reminded me of earlier this year when everyone swarmed to the stores and bought out all of the toilet paper, paper towels, pasta, etc. We've seen a lot of unnecessary panic over Covid, and maybe if everyone had read this story they would have acted wiser.

I think in this uncertain time we must all strive to be leaders like the lion. We must be pensive and cautious and skeptical.
